Lighthouse Park Fishing Pier

pier · Jacksonville & beyond
Pier on Salt Run, tucked behind Anastasia Island beside the St. Augustine Lighthouse. Protected shallow water keeps Trout and Flounder on the sandy bottom year-round — Salt Run is famous for its fall flounder run. Sheepshead stack on the pilings in winter. Tides rip through the cut to Matanzas, so fish the moving water, not the slack.
