Pumpkin Hill Creek (kayak launch)

kayak · Jacksonville & beyond
Scenic protected creek inside Pumpkin Hill Creek Preserve. The kayak launch sits at the bend; paddle north into Betz-Tiger Point marsh for solitude and untouched water, or south through the meandering oxbows. Redfish in the grass on high tides, trout and flounder in the deeper cuts. Watch tides carefully on the way back — the creek shallows fast on the drop.
